How is SneakerListing different from other buy/sell sites? SneakerListing was custom-built from scratch and does not use any existing e-commerce or classifieds scripts available on the web. We designed the system with you, the user, in mind and we develop our features based on your feedback. I can be proud to say that there are no other websites out there today that is exactly like ours and has our classifieds process.

....and even if there are, it might be different by tomorrow as we evolve with your needs.
Who are you guys? My name is Ray Yip, I work for a multinational conglomerate by day, but come nightfall, I become a professional web junkie working tirelessly to rescue the sneakerhead community. My partner is Ray Chan, he's the super developer that makes things move around here, putting his engineering degree from Columbia University to very good use.

In my off time I enjoy helping out my friends over at Freshnessmag.com as a technical consultant or reaching out to the fashionable far east in keeping up with my other venture EnAvant.com.

Together we also brought you the, currently seldom-used but once immensely popular Sneakers Application on Facebook. You might have read about it here or even used it first hand here.

How do I know if the sneakers on the site are authentic? As a collector myself I understand the hardship you go through in finding and buying authentic sneakers. When we first set out to create SneakerListing, our very first question is how can we give our users the confidence they need to shop for sneakers? Our answer was to be as transparent as possible, trust our users and allow the collectors to regulate themselves. At the same time we still have to put in some preventive measures to protect the shoppers. We have done that and will continue to to build upon these measures as needed.

At this stage it is no secret that fakes (or variants) is the ever growing concern among true collectors. Some other sneaker classifieds or auction sites claim to curb fakes by having "expert staff" go through every listing. Our take on it is this problem can only be solved through experience and shoppers helping other shoppers. The goal of it all is to equip the shopper with as much information as possible.

This site can not guarantee authenticity, but it can get very close with your help. The user rating system we put in place provides a way for buyers and sellers to review each other. After each transaction you have the opportunity to rate the other party. And based upon these ratings, each one of you will build a reputation on this site. These are represented in the form of star ratings and all of your prior reviews will be available for everyone to see. Also, each listing has a comment section that can serve as an open forum for everyone to discuss the listing, arming the shopper with even more information.

We hope that you will take these ratings and reviews very seriously as it can only hurt your future sales prospects if you build a negative reputation. And on the flip side, with a consistent positive track record, it can only help you in selling and buying your kicks.

On top of that there are also strict guidlines that the sellers must follow in order to post their sneakers. There are various types of information that they must provide as well as detailed photos of specified types that they must upload. The system is actively policed and failure to meet these (and other) requirements will result in removal of the listing. These guildeines will continue to expand as needed for the environment to be safe for the shoppers.
